Terms and Conditions

Welcome to TriFwd! These Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between TriFwd (referred to as "the Coach") and clients ("Athletes") participating in our coaching services. By engaging with TriFwd, you agree to the following terms:

1. Services Provided

TriFwd offers the following services:

  • 1:1 Online Coaching.

  • In-person coaching, including:

    • Swim coaching via CreateFit at Nuffield Fitness, Clifton, Bristol.

    • Open Water Swim Coaching at The Lake, Cromhall Quarry (1:1 and group sessions).

    • Bike Skills Coaching on the road and at Odd Down Cycle Track, Bath.

    • Run Coaching outdoors.

  • Training plans developed via consultation calls.

There are no geographic restrictions for online coaching. Athletes must provide their own equipment for all services.

2. Payment Policies

  • Face-to-Face Sessions: Payment is due per session or as a block of sessions.

  • Online Coaching: Monthly payments are due at the start of each calendar month.

  • Accepted payment methods: Bank Transfer, Direct Debit, PayPal, and Stripe.

  • Prices are inclusive of hire fees, except for Odd Down cycle track bookings, which cost an additional £2 per hour.

3. Cancellation Policies

  • Face-to-Face Sessions: Athletes must cancel over 24 hours in advance. Late cancellations are non-refundable. If the Coach cancels, rescheduling will be offered.

  • Online Coaching: A two-week notice period is required to cancel or modify coaching arrangements.

4. Client Responsibilities

Athletes engaging with TriFwd agree to:

  • Sign a waiver acknowledging the risks of physical training.

  • Self-declare their physical fitness and review health status before completing training sessions.

  • Avoid unsafe or inappropriate sessions and consult the Coach if in doubt.

  • Follow all instructions from the Coach unless the environment is unsafe or a factor has changed before or during the session without the Coach’s knowledge. Athletes should consider the appropriateness of any instruction under the circumstances.

  • Arrive promptly to allow adequate time for instruction.

  • Maintain their equipment in good working condition.

  • Demonstrate respect for the Coach, other participants, and facility rules.

  • Promptly inform the Coach of health changes, scheduling conflicts, or training challenges.

  • Dress appropriately for training environments and consider external factors like weather or safety.

  • Consider obtaining personal accident insurance or British Triathlon membership for coverage during training and racing.

5. Liability

  • Athletes participating in face-to-face sessions must sign a disclaimer, acknowledging that TriFwd is not liable for injuries or damages.

  • Athletes following a training plan undertake sessions at their own risk.

  • Performance improvements cannot be guaranteed, as outcomes depend on various factors.

6. Refund Policies

  • Face-to-Face Sessions: Refunds may be offered if multiple sessions are cancelled by the Coach and cannot be rescheduled.

  • Online Coaching: Partial refunds may be issued if the agreed-upon service is not delivered.

  • Refunds will not be granted for subjective dissatisfaction, such as not meeting performance goals.

7. Data Protection

  • Personal data collected includes contact details, training data, performance data, and medical information relevant to training/racing.

  • Data is stored securely in password-protected accounts.

  • Data may be shared with Google Analytics for analytics purposes.

  • Athletes consent to marketing communications via an opt-in checkbox.

  • Athletes may opt out of public use of images captured during sessions by checking a separate box.

8. Intellectual Property

  • Training plans and content provided by TriFwd are proprietary. Athletes may not share, reproduce, or distribute these without permission.

  • Marketing materials, including images and testimonials, remain the property of TriFwd unless athletes opt out.

9. Dispute Resolution

  • Disputes will be addressed informally between the Coach and Athlete in the first instance.

  • These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England.

10. Amendments

TriFwd reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be communicated to Athletes in advance and take effect on the specified date.

By participating in TriFwd services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
